Food Innovations That Will Make Eating A Lot Nicer In 2018


Eating is probably one of my favorite things to do. I can see why people get addicted to it so often. I mean, why wouldn’t you have that extra serving of mac and cheese? It’s right there! Take it! You’ll only feel bad about yourself for an hour or so, I promise.

 

As more and more people are realizing that eating is the coolest thing to do, food is going through quite some innovations. Things get invented, reinvented, changed and upgraded so the food you’re eating today could look or taste a whole lot differently one year from now. Sounds scary? It isn’t! Let’s take a look at some of these food innovations.

 

 

Pink Chocolate
And it’s not even a colored version of regular chocolate. It’s chocolate made from the ruby cocoa bean and tastes very fruity.

Geometric Desserts
Do you like chocolate and do you like symmetry and math? I do have good news for you! Architect/pastry maker Dinara Kasko combines all these things into delicious geometrical shapes. And the molds can be bought on her website. And it’s a huge trend right now! No degree in architecture needed!

 

Blue Wine
Gone are the days of your wine choice being limited to “white” or “red.” We were long overdue a new wine color, and blue wine will slowly but surely bolster the ranks!

Ice Cream Ramen
This just makes Asian desserts ridiculously easy to make.

 

Transparent Coffee
Just like vodka invented transparent alcohol, you can now carry your coffee with you without people knowing you need those sweet caffeine drops to be moderately functional as a human being.

3D-Printed Candy
I mean, it was only a matter of time until 3D printers got us to this point. We can now print food.
